Match Schedule:
France vs. Iceland
2017 World Handball Championship
Date: 21 January 2017; Time: 18:00
Venue: Stade Pierre-Mauroy, Lille

First in group A, the French handball team won their match against Poland on Thursday (January 19th) in Nantes, within the framework of this world 2017. It is now against Iceland that the Experts will have to win in a phase of knockout this Saturday January 21 in Lille, Pierre-Mauroy Stadium.

Imperial so far, the Blues pass to the revelator of Iceland. Eleventh of the 2015 World Cup, thirteenth of the Euro 2016, the Icelandic handball school is going through a difficult period. The country struggles to regain its former level, the very one that had allowed him to become Olympic vice-champion in 2008 and bronze medalist at the Euro in 2010.

His presence at this stage of the qualification is therefore a miracle. The Icelanders clung to the end in fourth place of their group, the last qualifier for the eighth. Tied with the Tunisians, they finally outstripped them to goals.
