The game tonight will be the third in which Juventus and AC Milan play against this season. Both matches were won by Milan:
the first, played on October 22 at the ninth match day of Serie A thanks to a
great goal of the young midfielder Manuel Locatelli; the second, on December
23, on penalties in the final of the Italian Super Cup in Doha.
As in the two previous games, Juventus are favorites. Juventus is the strongest team in Italy and
first in the standings Serie A. It will also be the first time in this season
that the match will be played at the Juventus Stadium, where Juventus is
virtually unbeatable.
Juventus and Milan is just over a month after the
Italian Super Cup final. This time they played for the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup, a competition in which
they are addressed last year in the final. Despite the clear difference is in
quality between the two teams, in the five most recent past there has never
been a winning team with more than one goal margin.
