Prime Minister António
Costa announces that he has the idea that the 10 days remaining for the Portuguese League will be played. In
Portugal, as in the vast majority of countries in the world, soccer is on hold,
but it is planned to return between June and July. This was openly acknowledged
by Prime Minister António Costa in an interview with ‘Expresso’, pointing out
that the idea is that at that time the 10 remaining days to be held in the
Portuguese League will be disputed.
On the other hand, António
Costa also spoke about the public, considering various possibilities and
without asserting that it has to be played behind closed doors even if it seems
the most likely option. "There are several solutions. It could be completely
behind closed doors, or with fans distributed in some way throughout the
stadium, "explained the Portuguese Prime Minister.
Portugal, in data from this Saturday,
accumulates about 20,000 cases of confirmed infections and almost 700 deaths,
in a situation that is far from Spain. António Costa, however, recalled that
"the virus does not hibernate in summer".
